Way back in 2012 there was a regulation change, and that change was that it was no longer a requirement for any vehicle manufactures to fit a spare wheel and tyre to a new vehicles, manufacturers thought it would be a better idea to fit run flat tyres, and how wrong they could be and if you have driven any car with a run flat tyre set up you will understand what we mean, the tyres ride quality is absolutely appalling, but you also get the tin of tyre weld for your boot, well for us neither of these are acceptable, the first thing we do with any new car that has a set of run flat tyres is remove immediately and replace with a set of normal tyres and a road hero in the boot.
so what is road hero
So it’s a very small and unique narrow spare alloy wheel and tyre combination that is rated for each and individual vehicle with over 95% of the vehicle manufacturers catered for, it comes in its own carry case along with other items to assist when changing a wheel.
